Divorce/Family Law

Before attending law school, Ken McAlister was a social worker in child protective services. This experience has given him a unique outlook on family law. He understands that divorce and custody cases are typically very emotional and stressful, especially for children. He provides empathetic representation, setting reasonable expectations and counseling clients to reach an agreement rather than go to trial.

Using negotiation and mediation to resolve family law disputes is generally easier on everyone involved. It is also much less expensive and time-consuming than going to trial. However, if trial is the only answer, you can rely on Mr. McAlister's litigation experience. He is board certified in civil trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (not certified in family law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization). If you must take your case to trial, you will have a powerful advocate on your side.
